What cookies we use
This site uses a small number of cookies and one local storage entry. Nothing is set for analytics or marketing until you accept it in the banner or the preferences dialog.
Categories
- Essential. One local storage entry,
colonize-cookie-preferences, which records your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear. Always active; it cannot be disabled without breaking the choice mechanism itself. - Analytics. Aggregated page and article statistics, used to decide which agronomy topics to write about next. Off by default.
- Marketing. Measures which trial reports lead to enquiries. Off by default.
How long they last
The preference entry persists until you clear your browser storage. Analytics identifiers expire after 14 months. Marketing identifiers expire after 6 months.
Changing your choice
Open Cookie preferences in the footer of any page. Changes take effect immediately. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which resets the banner.
Third parties
Analytics is provided by an EEA-hosted processor under a data processing agreement. No advertising networks operate on this site and no cross-site profiling takes place.
