Field assessment

A soil test, a penetrometer transect and last season's yield map. This is where roughly one field in five is told that drainage, lime or compaction work will beat any biological input available.

Product selection, rates, application windows and the compatibility check against the existing spray plan. Each product has to justify its place or it is removed from the quote.

Application support

Measurement

Four products, four jobs, no overlap.

Every specification below is the label specification. Concentrations are release values verified per batch; rates are the registered range, not a marketing range. If a field does not meet the stated condition, the product will underperform and we would rather say so here.

RhizoSet SC 04

Seed and in-furrow suspension concentrate

RhizoSet is the entry point of most programmes because it works in the two weeks that decide the season. Two Bacillus strains and one fluorescent Pseudomonas colonise the seminal root surface within 72 hours of imbibition, competing with early damping-off pressure and releasing siderophores that keep iron available in high-pH soils. It is a colonisation product, not a nutrient product: it does not replace a starter fertiliser and will not compensate for a poor seedbed.

TerraCore WG 12

Water-dispersible granule for soil establishment

TerraCore addresses phosphorus that is present in the soil but not available to the crop. It pairs arbuscular mycorrhizal propagules with two phosphate-solubilising bacterial strains that lower the pH of the immediate root micro-environment. The response is largest on fields with an Bray-P between 12 and 25 ppm and a history of intensive tillage; on high-P soils with recent manure applications, we tell growers to expect little and often advise against the spend.

StomaGuard EC 07

Foliar emulsifiable concentrate for stress windows

StomaGuard is applied before a forecast stress event, not after it. Seaweed-derived osmolytes and free amino acids support turgor maintenance and reduce the duration of stomatal closure during heat and short-term water deficit. Applied after visible wilting, the measured effect is close to zero — which is why the label, the agronomy team and the readiness tool all push the same 3-to-7-day lead time. It is compatible with most foliar programmes but must go into the tank last.

ResiduePrime WP 03

Post-harvest wettable powder for residue breakdown

ResiduePrime is the least glamorous product in the line and the one that changes the following season most reliably. Two Trichoderma species and a cellulolytic Bacillus accelerate the breakdown of cereal and corn residue, returning nitrogen to the following crop earlier and cutting the green bridge for stubble-borne disease. It needs moisture: on dry standing stubble with no rain in the forecast, the application should be delayed rather than wasted.
